This week at Absolute Car Care, a local resident of Framingham, MA scheduled an appointment to have their 2005 Subaru Legacy GT inspected. A few weeks prior, the customer took their vehicle to the dealership after the check engine light turned on. The customer spent over $2000 at the dealership, however after a few days the check engine light reappeared! The customer returned to the dealership to have the issue resolved, however they were unable to diagnose any problems with the car. Once the customer brought their vehicle into Absolute Car Care, we found that the downstream O2 sensor mount was not welded on the pipe. We were able to fix the issue by properly welding the mount in place, clear the check engine light codes, and allow the vehicle to successfully pass Massachusetts state inspection for the first time in two years!
